  • Fifthly, the Directorate of Education Standards (DES) and the District/Municipal Inspectorates conduct school inspections to maintain minimum standards, providing support supervision in private and government-aided schools.
  • Sixthly, the sector provides professional support to teachers, headteachers, learners, and parents in private and government-aided schools under the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995.
  • The education ministry sets, marks, and issues licenses and registration certificates for public examinations by examination bodies to private schools.
